How to apply


The application deadline is February 1 for admission to the following fall semester class.


Steps to applying for admission:

Download an information packet.

1. Application Form
Please submit your application on-line at: http://admissions.memphis.edu Go to ‘Apply for Admission’ and then ‘Graduate Application.’ When asked, create a login ID and password; then simply follow the directions to complete your application. The application fee is $35.00 for domestic students (U.S. citizens) and $60.00 for international students.

2. Graduate Record Examination (General Test)
We require that you take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). Please have the Educational Testing Service (ETS) send your scores to The University of Memphis (ETS Code 1459).

3. Official Transcripts
Please have all undergraduate and graduate transcripts mailed directly to: Office of Graduate Admissions, 101 Wilder Tower, The University of Memphis, Memphis, Tennessee 38152.

4. Letters of Recommendation
We require written recommendations from three individuals familiar with your academic background and aptitude for graduate work in Speech-Language Pathology. They should send their recommendations to the Director of Graduate Studies at the address below.

5. Personal Statement
We require a personal statement describing your professional goals and preparation for graduate study in Speech-Language Pathology. Please send your statement to the Director of Graduate Studies at the address below.

6. Contact Information
