We encourage students with background other than in Communication Disorders to apply. It typically takes one extra semester to complete the program.

ASHA Certification requires the following course areas at the undergraduate level. If you have not taken these courses they can be taken during the graduate program but will extend the program length.

  3 semester hours of math
3 semester hours of life science
3 semester hours of physical science
6 semester hours of psychology or sociology
