Annual Mid-South Conference on Communicative Disorders
This typically 2-day conference is designed to aid audiologists and speech-language pathologists in implementing current research, new concepts and techniques into the clinical situation. Organized in 1970, the Mid-South Conference is the oldest and largest student sponsored conference in the country, drawing over 750 audiologists, speech-language pathologists, educators, physicians, and parents from the U.S. and Canada. It features a variety of nationally and internationally recognized guest speakers in the field of communication disorders who offer workshops and short courses. The conference is the major activity organized and conducted by the graduate students of The University of Memphis Chapter of the National Student Speech-Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA)
